Effective Screening for Pre-Readers at Risk for Dyslexia

Everyone Reading Illinois & The Learning Disabilities Association of Illinois virtually presents:

Effective Screening for Pre-Readers at Risk for Dyslexia

Leveraging the Science of Reading, EarlyBird Education created the first game-based screener for pre-readers that comprehensively looks at each child’s skills in phonemic/phonological awareness, phonics, oral language comprehension and naming speed (RAN) all in one tool.

Questions we will address in this session include:

Why is a universal screener important for dyslexia and what should it include?

What type of visibility does a comprehensive approach to dyslexia screening yield?

How does this comprehensive view of each child connect to personalized evidence-based interventions?

How do we support students for whom English is not their first language?
