The Written Word in Wheaton is offering NoticeAbility—a two-week interactive workshop for 6th-8th grade students with a specific learning disability, dyslexia diagnosis, an IEP, or a student who self-identifies with dyslexia.
NoticeAbility instructors will guide students to explore the fundamental principles of entrepreneurship through the development of a product idea and business. Problem-solving skills, active listening, conflict resolution, negotiation techniques, empathy, and creativity will be the focus. Students will get exposure to professions that utilize and focus on the innate strengths of those with dyslexia.
There will be two parent question and answer sessions about the workshop at The Written Word on Sunday, May 5th from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m and Monday, May 6th from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. More information is available at the link below:
