Brain Research Study

Northwestern University’s Language, Education, Reading and Neuroscience Lab (LEARN) is studying how the brain supports letter-sound integration skills important for reading in children. This study is for children who are in grades 3-5, who have reading difficulties, learning disability in reading, dyslexia, and/or are receiving reading remediation. You and your child would come to Northwestern University in Evanston for about two hours of reading assessment activities. Your child may also be invited back for an EEG visit. This visit takes about 1.5 hours. The EEG is recorded while your child listens to speech sounds, sees letters, and watches a movie. Visits are scheduled at your convenience, on weekdays, weekends, or holidays. Your family will receive a $25 gift card per visit for your participation. If you are interested or have any questions, please email LEARNlab@northwestern.edu or call  847-868-2255.
