Our fourth annual Conference for Parents on April 14th was a big success! It was designed to help parents of children with dyslexia better understand the dynamics of dyslexia and more effectively advocate for their students in school. This year’s topics included Dyslexia Basics, understanding the social/emotional impact for students and families, a teen panel, and a session on advocacy. There was also time for parent networking as well as visiting exhibitor tables. Many parents reported that it was a valuable experience that enabled them to learn more about dyslexia and to network with other parents sharing similar journeys.
